Letters to the Bride and Groom on Their Special Day
Picking or creating the proper wedding card for a couple is an important gesture to make. Those who are marrying are often excited, overwhelmed, and bewildered by the work and dedication it takes simply to make it to the wedding day. There are often tireless hours spend working toward arranging everything to perfection, and a well-made card can brighten the day of any over-stimulated couple who need to take a simple moment to enjoy the kindness you can express.
If you are looking to simply buy them a card, you can utilize the internet as a wonderful source of idea or simply pick from a large list of pre-made or premade card types. You can find the perfect card to fit the couples theme, color scheme, and general mood of their wedding. Remember that your card need not be the most elaborate or glamorous to be the best. In fact, it is often best to follow the theme of the wedding without attempting to outshine the hard work the bride, groom, and planners have put into the event.
If you wish to make your own card, the same rules of understating the glamour of the event, which applies. However, you can add your own personal touch to show the couple the effort you wish to show regarding making their special day even more special. Make sure you use quality paper and purposeful design choices when making their card as well. While you do not want to attempt to outshine the couple’s efforts, you also do not want to give them a wedding card, which shows little or no thought or effort.
When it comes time to write your personalized message in the card, remember that the couple often keeps these cards forever. Because of this, it is best to stay simple and pleasant. If one wishes to add heartfelt messages or advice, do so with the understanding that the card may be read again and again throughout the couple’s history. Use a quality pen if you wish to handwrite your message. This requires you to also find paper that will handle the ink without it running through or becoming blotchy on the page. With all the work you wish to put into this personal affect, you cannot risk ruining it with the final touch of a signature or short heart-felt message.
Above all remember that the card represents you in regards to the couple’s most perfect day, and thus should be handled with care. It should be considered as an heirloom to remember forever.
